The duo’s latest, limited-edition dessert creation — a Double Chocolate Matcha Ice Cream Sandwich — brings matcha madness to another level!
HONOLULU, June 8, 2021 – Hawaiian Host® and Uncle’s Ice Cream have reunited and recently launched their fifth flavor collaboration, featuring Uncle’s Japanese Matcha ice cream, paired with Hawaiian Host’s own Matcha Green Tea macadamia confections from its premium Paradise Collection. Consider it a matcha match made in paradise!
Hawaiian Host’s macadamias add a bit of crunch and that oh-so-mouthwatering, buttery mac nut flavor we all know and love to Uncle’s delightful frozen treats. Added bonus? The macadamia nuts are pancoated in matcha-infused white chocolate for extra-creamy smoothness. All this matcha goodness is sandwiched between two soft-baked, double chocolate cookies. “This latest ice cream sandwich combination provides a rich, yet refreshing treat for sunny days,” says Theresa Tuxhorn, Director of Global Marketing for Hawaiian Host. “We are thrilled to debut this new creation to our returning O‘ahu visitors and kama‘aina.”
Prior ice-cream sandwich collaborations were huge successes, so the stage is set for this new frozen matcha treat. As a refresher, the first frozen delight by the duo featured Hawaiian Host’s Dark Chocolate Alohamacs® and Uncle’s Big Island Honey ice cream; the second: Hawaiian Host’s Paradise Collection mac-nut morsels covered with milk chocolate and toasted coconut paired with Uncle’s creamy caramel ice cream; the third: Hawaiian Host’s Paradise Collection Milk Chocolate Kona Coffee macadamias combined with Uncle’s marvelous mocha ice cream on snickerdoodle cookies; and last, but not least: Hawaiian Host’s Paradise Collection Dark Chocolate macadamias and Uncle’s Rocky Road ice cream.
