Did you know that September 4, 2021 was National Macadamia Nut Day? Our team at Mauna Loa wasn’t going to let this holiday slide without spreading the news — and the mac nuts! Sharing food is a love language throughout the islands. So in celebration, Mauna Loa distributed Mini Maunas throughout Hawai‘i for people to power their paradise.
Local retailers, healthcare workers, and more were all treated to Mini Maunas on Mac Nut Day. Hospitals on the Big Island, Maui, Moloka‘i, O‘ahu, and Kaua‘i also received Mini Maunas donated by Mauna Loa, while select retailers included Mini Maunas as a gift with purchase.
Other Mac Nut Day activations included a statewide discount of 10% off MaunaLoa.com in addition to coupons for Mauna Loa’s macadamia milk-based Nice Cream, while hospital workers received a special four-day discount of 15% off purchases made on Mauna Loa’s website.
The Mac Nut Day giveaway gave kama‘aina and visitors alike the opportunity to connect with or try Mauna Loa’s delicious products for the first time.
