We are excited to share that our Chief Administrative Officer, Michelle Leon-Guerrero, was selected as one of Pacific Business News’ (PBN) “Women Who Mean Business.” For over 25 years, this annual award has recognized women who excel in both business and community leadership. These are the women who are shaping the future of Hawai‘i.
Michelle Leon-Guerrero joined Hawaiian Host Group (HHG) in April of 2019 as our Senior Director of Talent Management. Not even a year into her new job, she and the team had to face the Covid-19 pandemic and all the challenges that came along with it. As the entire HHG team took on an onslaught of new responsibilities as a result of the pandemic, Michelle was never the one to look for excuses or an exit.
On the contrary, Michelle used the pandemic to show her perseverance and grit as a leader. She proved her commitment to always doing what is best for HHG. Through all the ups and downs, she demonstrated her ability to connect with and energize our team at all costs.
Michelle’s dedication to continuously improve HHG led her to be promoted to Vice President of Talent Management in 2020. In this role, she established herself as a key leader in the Executive Team of our organization. More and more, she became involved in our operations department as well. This ultimately helped her become our cross-departmental Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing both our people and operations teams.
On March 30th, 2023, Pacific Business News hosted the Women Who Mean Business Awards Ceremony at The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, in Waikiki. It was a memorable event celebrating Michelle and all of the Women Who Mean Business that are making a meaningful impact on their organization and community.
Congratulations to all of the 2023 Women Who Mean Business, and especially to our very own, Michelle Leon-Guerrero, from the entire HHG team on this well-deserved recognition!
