HONOLULU, HI, July 2, 2024 – Hawaiian Host Group (HHG) recently partnered with Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i (MAWH) on its superhero-themed gala. The event featured a silent auction, live auction, Hawaiian Host chocolate giveaways, and performances by The Spazmatics, and Kaylee Shimizu from The Voice. As a platinum sponsor, HHG is proud to contribute to life-changing wishes for children and their families facing critical illnesses.

At Hawaiian Host Group (HHG), our company’s purpose is “to make the Islands’ future flourish” and we were thrilled to partner again with MAWH on its annual fundraiser gala. The event is a key annual milestone in transforming the lives of our local keiki in need – one wish at a time – and celebrating the local heroes that make them happen.

The mission of Make-A-Wish is: “Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.” For several years, HHG has generously supported MAWH’s yearly fundraiser gala and fulfilled wishes for local children. The partnership embodies the Spirit of Hawai‘i and aloha, demonstrating the profound impact that can be achieved when communities come together to uplift and support one another.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with MAWH and positively impact the lives of our local keiki,” stated Ed Schultz, President and CEO of HHG.

This year’s gala took place at Sheraton Waikiki and honored wish children and their families, who are truly our heroes—fighting difficult diagnoses and long hospital stays with courage, resilience, and hope. The event was complete with a silent auction, live auction, an inspiring performance by Kaylee Shimizu from The Voice, and a fun concert by The Spazmatics. Of course, all attendees went home with a delicious box of Hawaiian Host Founder’s Collection chocolate. It was certainly a night to remember!

Congratulations to MAWH on an incredible event and for achieving a record-breaking fundraiser gala this year. Another big thank you to all the attendees and fellow sponsors for supporting this cause!
